Research within the "Drugs Don't Know Borders" project
Within the IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme Hungary-Serbia called "Drugs Don't Know Borders" we did a survey in which we analyzed the knowledge, attitudes, habits and coping strategies in connection to drugs among the secondary school population living in two micro-regions along the border. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) - principles of work in Hungary
Within the IPA Crossborder Cooperation Programme Hungary-Serbia, in which Mental Hygiene Foundation "Exspecto" from Subotica and the Center for Social Work "Homokhat" are involved, we have reached a new chapter.
On Friday, September 28, 2012 group leaders of Alcoholics anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (AN) from Szeged will present basic working principles in these groups in Hungary.
The program will be held in the premises of the Foundation of mental hygiene "Exspecto" starting at 10.00 hours. We invite all who are interested in learning more about the principles of AA and AN groups to attend the lecture.
All media representatives who are interested to report about this event are requested to announce the presence in order of agreement about time and way of recording.
"Metamorphosis-drug" workshop for professionals from Hungary
At Thursday, September 27, 2012 in the premises of our Foundation we held a workshop titled "Metamorfozis-drugs" for the professionals who are working in the field of prevention and treatment of dependence in the Csongrád County, Hungary.

Prevention of drug and substance abuse in cooperation with the UPZ "Raskršće"
On Thursday, September 20, 2012, 90 pupils attended the prevention program of drug and substance abuse held in Exspecto. Program was organized in cooperation with the UPZ "Raskršće" from Novi Sad. Each presentation lasted about 90 minutes,during which an educational movie is shown warning young people on the dangers of drug addiction. This was followed by the story about personal experience by the former addict about effects of drug abuse on his life. This has a great impact and gives a young person the opportunity to develop a healthy attitude towards drugs.
There were two presentations, at 11:00 and 13:00 hours, for students from the Technical School "Ivan Saric," Chemical-Technology and Polytechnic School in Subotica.

Experts from Hungarian institutions visited Subotica
At Thursday, June 14, 2012 group of experts in prevention and treatment of dependence from Csongrád County have visited us in Subotica. They have visited Foundation of mental hygiene "Exspecto," Association for positive communication "Club 21" and the Humanitarian-therapeutic community for helping addicts "Hosana". Experts from both countries have had the opportunity to exchange professional experiences, and guests from Hungary had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the institutions for the prevention and treatment of addiction in Subotica.

New groups of high-school students will visit the exhibition of drug-prevention "Metamorphosis"
Today, on 21st May 2012 and tomorrow, on 22nd May 2012 new groups of high-school students from Asottholom, from hungarian region Homokhat, will visit the exhibition "Metamorphosis". After the exhibition, groups will go for sightseeing of Subotica.
High school students from Kanjiza visited the exhibition "Metamorphosis"
Pupils from Agricultural and Technical School "Besedeš Jozef" from Kanjiža were visiting our exhibition in three days, from 15th May until 17th May 2012. About 120 students in several groups have visited the exhibition of prevention of drug abuse "Metamorphosis", and afterwards they went on a tour of the city.

On Thursday, April 19th 2012, we hosted a new group of 50 students from the hungarian region Homokhat who have visited the exhibition of prevention of drug abuse, "Metamorphosis." Free time after the exhibition they have spent in the sightseeing tour of Subotica.

"Multidisciplinary Model in Treatment of Addiction Through the Model of Disease and AA Step System"
will be held on Thursday, January 24th 2012, from 10 a.m-2:00 p.m. in the premises of the Foundation.
This presentation is organized as part of the planned activities under the project "Drugs Don't Know Boundaries" in the IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme Serbia-Hungary.
The lecturer will be Kristina Toth Sabo, a psychologist and manageress of Daily hospital for addicts at the Center for Social Work "Homokhat", Hungary.

High school students from Hungary have visited the exhibition "Metamorphosis"
On Wednesday, March 21 and Thursday, 29 March 2012 we hosted 100 high school students from the Homokhat region in Hungary who have visited the exhibition of prevention of drug abuse, "Metamorphosis". Free time after the exhibition they have spent in the sightseeing tour of Subotica.

Professional visit to the relevant institutions in Hungary
On Thursday, 8 March 2012 , within the planned activities in IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme Hungary-Serbia entitled "Drugs Don't Know Borders," we were in a one-day visit to the professional institutions in Hungary which are dealing with treatment and prevention of drug abuse. We paid a visit to Department for dependents at the Center for Social Work "Homokhat" in Morohalomu, then Youth Centre for Disease Prevention and Treatment of Drug Dddiction "Dr. Theresa Farkasinski" in Szeged and Foundation "Exit", which is also located in Szeged.
